Assam: Massive Storm Ravages Around 19 Villages In Sivasagar District

Guwahati: A heavy storm on Thursday morning disrupted as many as 19 villages in Assam's Sivasagar district.

As per reports, the storm hit Dikhowmukh which is a village in Gaurisagar Tehsil in Sivasagar following which trees were uprooted and electric posts broken due to the storm.

Reports further claimed the property worth Rs lakh have been destroyed in the storm, while a person along with his wife suffered minor injuries as a tree fell on their house.

Fortunately, no human casualties have been reported so far.

Following the heavy storm, all kinds of communication have been disrupted and roads too have been blocked. In addition to these, the power supply has been snapped as electric posts have been damaged due to the storm.
